WAEC GCE OPENS PORTAL FOR 2020 REGISTRATION



The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has commenced registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, for private candidates’ 2020 First Series so candidate can access WAEC GCE OPEN PORTAL FOR 2020 ONLINE REGISTRATION.
WASSCE had introduced the First Series in 2018 to give private candidates a second option to take the August/September examination called Second Series. However, a statement by WAEC’s Head of National Office, Olu Adenipekun, disclosed that the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 First Series would feature only 24 subjects and take place in mainly urban areas.

Adenipekun directed prospective candidates to check for available subjects and centres before registering.
The statement reads: “WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 – First Series would mainly be an urban-based examination. Twenty-four (24) subjects would be available for the examination. Intending candidates are advised to visit the Council’s corporate website – www.waecnigeria.org – to confirm available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW

  1. Candidates should view the Information VCD before they register for the examination.
  2. Candidates should note that the registration fee is not refundable.
  3. Candidates should print the examination Timetable at the completion of their registration.
  4. Entries must be uploaded with good quality passport size photographs, not “wait and get” photographs. The background of such photographs MUST NOT BE BLUE OR RED. The size should be 275 by 314 pixels. Entries with unacceptable passport photographs will be rejected.
  5. Candidates should study the Regulations and Syllabuses as well as the Timetable for the examination which they can download from the WAEC website (http://www.waeconline.org.ng/) using the Registration PIN.
  6. Candidates must go to examination halls in mufti and without arms. No professional uniform of any kind will be allowed in the examination halls.
  7. The entire results of candidates who sit the examination in more than one centre will be cancelled.
  8. Smoking is not allowed in the examination hall.
  9. Any candidate that comes into the examination hall with mobile phone(s) and /or electronic gadget(s) will have his or her entire results cancelled.
  10. Candidates must ensure that their entries are correctly completed before uploading as the Council will not be held responsible for errors in candidates’ particulars. Request for correction will NOT BE entertained on any information which a candidate voluntarily gives at the point of registration as soon as the examination commences.
  11. Candidates must come into the examination hall with their original Photo Cards.
  12. Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled, but may be prosecuted.

COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION

Candidates MUST conclude registration within two weeks of first access to the website during the registration period. They should ensure that their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth and subjects are correct. They are also to print the Admission Notice/Photo Card as evidence of successful registration which will serve as identification during the examination. The Result Checker PIN will also be on the Photo Card. Only Digital Personal Scanner should be used for fingerprint registration. WAEC GCE open portal for 2020 online registration.

WAEC FIRST SERIES 2020 REGISTRATION FORM IS OUT

When is Waec Gce first series 2020 start? The registration for WAEC GCE 2020 exams will commence from 15th October 2019 and end on 31st December 2019. The WAEC GCE JAN/FEB 2020 Closing date may not be extended therefore candidates are advised within the period given for the sales of WAEC GCE 2020 registration Form. WAEC REGISTRATION FEES AND OTHER DETAILS


  • WAEC GCE First Series Registration: October to December; Examination: January/February and Release of Results: March.

  • WAEC GCE Second Series Registration: May to July; Examination: August/September and Release of Results: November.

  • WAEC SSCE registration: February to March; Examination: April/May and Release of Result; July.



The price of the GCE 2020 form is N13,950 and the exam date is January 2020. The GCE timetable will be released soon. Candidates should also note that the procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres.

Please note that you will be given a pin after your payment has been confirmed by WAEC, use this pin you have been given to proceed online to complete your registration.

CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITIES AND IMPAIRMENT: Candidates with disabilities/impairments will also register online like other candidates but they must clearly state their disabilities/impairment e.g blind, low vision, spastics, speech, e.t.c.

  •  Each Candidate is to complete the online application form by supplying the required details such as name, e-mail address, L.G.A., academic qualification, etc.
  •  At the CBT centers, the Candidate’s ten fingers biometric and image will be captured and uploaded.
  •  O/L and/or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the result online as soon as the results are available on JAMB’s portal.
  • Note that you are to collect your e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.

NECO GCE Timetable.
2019 NECO GCE has been scheduled to commence on Monday, 18TH November TO Wednesday, 18TH December, 2019.
BEFORE YOU CHECK THE TIMETABLE PLEASE NOTE:
  1. Candidates should confirm the specific venues for Oral French, Arabic and Stenography I & IV from NECO State Office where they are sitting for the examination.
  2. Candidates should come along with their Computer/Laptops for Stenography Paper I &IV to the specified venue.
  3. The Nigerian languages i.e. Hausa. Igbo and Yoruba include the Literature aspect.
  4. BLIND CANDIDATES are to sit for the examination in their respective NECO State Offices and make use of the supplied Braille Sheet.
  5. The ALBINOS AND BLIND CANDIDATES are to be given 30 minutes extra time across all papers.
