This is to inform all the candidates that have been offered admission into their institution of choice for the 2018/2019 academic session, that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is now live.

With JAMB CAPS, successfully admitted candidates can now ACCEPT/REJECT admission offer.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to ensure that they indicate the acceptance or rejection of admission online and timely to enable the processing of their admission.
How to Accept/Reject Admission Offer on JAMB CAPS.

    Go to Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal athttp://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/.
    Login with your registered Email and Password.
    Then locate and click on ‘Check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS‘ (2018 JAMBites) or ‘Check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS‘ (2018 JAMBites).
    Select ‘Admission Status‘ on the left panel.
    You can now accept/reject your admission offer under ‘Admission Profile’.

NB: Acceptance/rejection of admission offer is free!

After accepting your admission offer, you can now proceed to print your admission letter on JAMB portal.

What you Need to Know About JAMB CAPS.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is geared towards ensuring quality control, transparency and credibility of the admission process.

CAPS is expected to make provision for a ‘market place’ in the JAMB portal where institutions can go and ‘request for students in Nigeria who score their cut off points.’

The system is such that institutions can only admit those who meet their cut off points. If a candidate fails to meet the cut off mark, that student would certainly be denied admission irrespective of the candidate’s connection.

Define JAMB UPGRADING?

It is the process of editing students jamb score by using softwares like photo editing, Photoshop etc.

Question two:

After editing the result, can the new score appear on the jamb portal?

No, it won’t. student that edited his or her result the only thing he or she can do with the result is to be showing it to friends but not for admission.

Who are the people doing the upgrading? is Jamb official or what?.

The truth is, even Jamb accredited centres can’t access students score. People doing this upgrading majority of them are Secondary school leavers and University students.

These upgraders are also called

    * Dumpers
    * scammers
    * Liers
    * Jobless
    * Ohh which name I will call them again….. yes, frauders hmm I am not sure whether this grammar( frauders) correct o, Abeg leave it like that.

Which advise will you give students that are planning to upgrade their results due to low jamb score?..

My advise to them is that those that applied for competitive course should change to less competitive or if their Jamb didn’t reach their instructions cut off should change to another school even if it is polytechnic. But there Is nothing like upgrading.

Yes, it is good to read a good course and course that you know even if government refused to give you job, you should be able to use what you had studied to make your money.

So, If you know that you have only one course in mind, just prepare for next year JAMB.

Is there any other ways or methods of gaining admission without JAMB?.

Yes there is, Every year all the instructions releases two types of list, Jamb students list(UTME list) and Direct Entry students(D.E).

Students are gaining admission through Direct Entry without JAMB.

Step 1

Turn on your gas to medium heat and place your beaker filled with 100 mL of water on it. Bring it to a boil.

Step 2

  crush the solid sample into a powder using a mortar and pestle. Add water to the powder and pour it in the test tube.

Step 3

Add approximately 1 mL of Benedict’s solution to the test tube using a dropper. Slowly swirl the test tube counterclockwise to distribute the reagent evenly.

Step 4

Place your test tube into the beaker until you note a color change -- this process usually takes five minutes.

Step 5

Examine the color change, if it is present. Benedict’s reagent has a color change gradient from blue, meaning no simple sugars are present, to green, yellow, orange, red and brown. The color sequence indicates the increasing concentration of the simple sugar, with green being the lowest and brown being the highest.
