WHEN WILL WAEC RELEASE IT 2017/2018 RESULT [Answers!!]

WAEC is to begin the process of releasing SSCE results, 60 days after the exams
The new standard for result result is to be launched with the 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination
The new result method which is tagged “Project 60” is aimed at improving the standard of service delivery in the educational sector The West African Examination Council (WAEC), has said that results will be released 60 days after the last paper is written.
According to the examination body, the 60-day project is to kick-off with the 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
WAEC has launched the initiative, Project 60, and deployed over 60,000 examiners to ensure that results are released 60 days after the conduct of the examination. The exam body’s Head of Information, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, said this on Thursday during an interview with The Punch.
While marking of the 2017 WASSCE has already commenced, Ojijeogu said that it would be concluded on June 10. Results from previous diets of the examination were released after 90 days. Ojijeogu said: “Project 60 was a desire of the council to improve service delivery to its numerous stakeholders.
By reducing how long it takes to release results after the exam, we are rendering quality service that will enable candidates to gain admission into universities. “Coordination and marking of 2017 WASSCE for school candidates began on May 22, 2017, with staff training and briefing.
On May 23, the staff checked and collected coordination materials. On May 24, they departed to the 83 marking venues across the country designated for that purpose. Some 66, 618 examiners are participating in the process
Chief examiners, team leaders and assistant examiners had their coordination meetings from May 26 to May 28 and marking will end on June 10, 2017. The results will be released 60 days after the last paper was taken instead of the usual 90 days.’’In a similar vein, (WAEC) says it has launched a talk back platform, known as “WAECKonnect’’ to improve effective communication between the council and candidates. The organisation said this in a statement issued by its Head of Public Affairs, Mr Damianus Ojijeogu, on Thursday in Lagos.
WAEC said it established the platform to further engage the candidates and bridge the communication gap between them and the council.
“We are pleased to announce a new electronic information sharing and dissemination platform, called Candidates Interactive System or WAECkonnect.
“The council is determined to protect candidates from also falling prey to fraudulent persons, who might want to take advantage of parents and candidates’ ignorance about its operations, to misguide and defraud them,’’ the statement read in part.
The platform will also allow WAEC to effectively engage the candidates before, during and after the registration and examinations. Ojijeogu stated that the platform would enable the council in Nigeria to disseminate information to the public effectively.

1a)Warehousing
Is the action or process of storing goods in a warehouse and the building up of a holding of shares in a company by buying numerous small lots of shares in the names of nominees, in order to make a takeover bid while remaining anonymous.

1b)- 1. Receiving of Goods
2. Preparation of Record
3.Identification
4. Storing

1. Receiving of Goods :-
It is the basic important function of the warehouse. When goods are handed over by the producer, it accepts the goods and assumes the responsibility to deliver the goods. It issues the receipts of goods.
2. Preparation of Record :-
The warehouse keeper checks the items of each shipment and prepares the record. All the record is maintained properly to avoid any problem at the time of delivery.
3. Identification :-
After receiving the goods warehouse keeper marks the each items separately. He may use the code number or he may attach the tag for identification. Due to identification one can easily separate the goods of different firms.
4. Storing :-
It is the major function of warehousing. The goods are kept safely in warehouse. Today all types of fruits are available in each season due to the storing facility. There is a proper protection of goods like food crops in the warehouses.

====≠=========≥=====================

6a) Transportation is indispensible function of marketing .
Transportation provides the physical means of carrying goods and persons from one place to another. In other words, it is concerned with carrying the goods from the places of production to the places of their consumption.
6b)- Transportation links the different fixed facilities and markets and thus serves to neutralize the spatial separation of the facilities.
-As a marketing function, therefore, it increases the economic value of the products by creating time and place utilities and promoting possession utility.
-For the producer, the transportation aids in moving raw materials and other components from the suppliers to the plants and warehouses and from plants and warehouses to other plants. It also involves the movement of finished goods from the plants to the warehouses or distribution centers and to customers.
-The wholesaler transports goods from the warehouse or distribution centers to retailers.

8a)

Advertising is an audio or visual form of marketing communication that employs an openly sponsored, nonpersonal message to promote or sell a product, service or idea.

8b)-Awareness
- Information
- Persuasion
-Attitudes

- Awareness:
One of the important roles of advertising is to create awareness of the product or services such as brand name and price. The awareness of the product or services can be created through highlighting the unique features of the brand. Nowadays, due to intense competition it is not just enough to create awareness, but top of mind awareness is needed.

- Information:
Advertising helps to inform the target audience about the product. Providing information is closely related to creating awareness of the product. Potential customers must know about a product, such as product features and uses.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Product information is very much required, especially when the product is introduced in the market, or when product modification is undertaken. Proper product information can help the consumers in their purchase decision.

- Persuasion:
When business firms offer similar products, the firm must not only inform the customers about the product’s availability, but also persuade them to buy it. Through persuasive messages, the marketers try to provide reasons regarding the superiority of their products as compared to others available in the market. Persuasion can be undertaken through creative advertising messages, product demonstration at trade fairs, offering free gifts, premium offers and organizing contests.
- Attitudes:
Promotion is required to build or reinforce attitudes in the minds of target audience. The marketers expect the target audience to develop a favourable attitude towards their brands. Positive attitude towards the brand helps to increase its sales. Through promotional techniques like advertising, the marketer can correct negative attitude towards the product, if any. Negative attitude can also be corrected through public relations and advertising.

4a) Organizational structure is a system that consists of explicit and implicit institutional rules and policies designed to outline how various work roles and responsibilities are delegated, controlled and coordinated. Organizational structure also determines how information flows from level to level within the company.

4b)

(1)functional structure

(2)divisional structure

Functional Structure

Functional structure is set up so that each portion of the organization is grouped according to its purpose. In this type of organization, for example, there may be a marketing department, a sales department and a production department. The functional structure works very well for small businesses in which each department can rely on the talent and knowledge of its workers and support itself. However, one of the drawbacks to a functional structure is that the coordination and communication between departments can be restricted by the organizational boundaries of having the various departments working separately.

Divisional Structure

Divisional structure typically is used in larger companies that operate in a wide geographic area or that have separate smaller organizations within the umbrella group to cover different types of products or market areas. For example, the now-defunct Tecumseh Products Company was organized divisionally--with a small engine division, a compressor division, a parts division and divisions for each geographic area to handle specific needs. The benefit of this structure is that needs can be met more rapidly and more specifically; however, communication is inhibited because employees in different divisions are not working together. Divisional structure is costly because of its size and scope. Small businesses can use a divisional structure on a smaller scale, having different offices in different parts of the city, for example, or assigning different sales teams to handle different geographic areas.

4c)

i)
Hierarchy :

The basic function of an organizational structure is to provide a clear chain of command and define which employees report to which managers. Many companies use multiple levels of management, where an associate reports to a manager who then reports to a director. The directors often report directly to the owners. The structure also shows who conducts performance evaluations for which employee: managers for associates and directors for managers, for example.

REASONS WHY YOU CANT SEE YOUR JAMB RESULT=no result yet!!

The JAMB Registrar, Prof Oloyede has disclosed that the results of candidates identified in footage of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) to have indulge in unwholesome practices during the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will not be released.
The JAMB Registrar made this known during an interview on Channels Television.
According to him, the board has been busy reviewing the recorded footages of the exam across the country and a number of candidates
will be punished.
“Those who have not received their results are qualified not to receive for now. In all cases where there were no problems, we released
results of the examination within 24 hours. “But those who have not received their results, they may not be culpable but we are investigating.
Where we have reason to doubt anything or where we have report of anything that is not acceptable to us, we have withheld the results.
“And we will keep on releasing them as we clear them. For instance, this morning, we released another 15,000 results. But among those who sat in that centre, we have reasons, concrete evidence to say about 300 of them, their results will not be released because we know they were not in the hall where the examination took place.”
“We are comparing those who sat for the examination, how long they sat in the hall, and how some of them took excuses that they were
going to the toilet only to go to what they called VIP. “All this we are now able to track. And we want to say that we will not hesitate to sanction
anybody no matter how highly placed.” He stated.

JAMB HAS BEEN GIVEN 7DAYS TO RE-MARK JAMB SCRIPT(click here)

7-day-ultimatum has been given to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, by an education consultant, Mr Oludotun Shodunke, who had asked the board to release the last UTME candidates’ exam scripts for remarking or face court action.

Sodunke alleged that the examination body failed many candidates because it was rumoured that the examination questions leaked.

The education guru, who led some candidates to protest the unjustified mass failure, had queried that the examination management board, led by Prof. Dibu Ojerinde failed in the conduct of the examination.

He noted that the right thing to have done after the body had learnt of the leaked papers was to cancel the exercise and fixed another day for it.

In his words, “You can not punish students with what I call monumental failure because the examination paper

leaked. Leakage of examination paper cannot be blamed on the students.”

It would be recalled that the last UTME examination result released recently showed that over 80% of the total number of student who sat for the examination failed woefully. Please stay updated.

Don't be tired of checking your jamb score over and over again incase there will be changes.

WORKING METHOD TO GAIN ADMISSION DIRECT ENTRY EVEN WITH OUT JAMB

When the NUC (Nigerian University Commission) made it public about the scrapping of post UTME, many universities, both federal and state owned called it a joke, until it became clear NUC meant every word. Many see the scrapping of post UTME as a waste of time and resources owing to the fact that the aim has been defeated. Now students are required to pass JAMB and go straight to the institution of their choice for proper document verification and result. See how to gain admission with your low/high jamb score

But in this post, we will be putting you through on how you can gain admission into any Nigerian University of your choice without the use of JAMB? One of the ways which a student can gain admission into the university without using JAMB is by applying through Direct Entry (DE), for those who possess a previous qualification like a diploma (OND), a higher polytechnic degree (HND) or A’Level.
Another good thing about this method of using direct entry to gain admission into Nigerian Universities is that upon securing the admission, the candidate starts from 200level instead of 100level. How to gain admission into Nigerian Universities is not a problem as long as you possess the following qualifications or requirements as seen below

How To Gain Direct Entry Into Nigerian Universities Without Jamb

  1. Candidate must possess complete O’level result (WASSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB etc). It doesn’t matter if it’s one sitting or not as long as the necessary subjects are complete.
  2. Candidate must possess A’Level result (Cambridge A’Level or its equivalent). A’Level results could be either one of the following- OND, HND, IJMB, TG II, NCE, etc.)
Both of the above listed are prerequisites for gaining admission using direct entry. An O’Level certificate holder can in no way secure admission into the university through Direct entry except he/she possesses and A’Level qualification. In other words, they aren’t mutually exclusive.

After you must have done an honest self examination to know if you are eligible to apply or not, the next phase would be to buy the JAMB Direct Entry Form from JAMB office or Banks. Sometimes the school of one’s choice might be the forms too so it is best to ask properly. When the form has been procured, visit a JAMB approved registration centre or a credible cyber cafe.
Next step is to submit the print out from your registration along with all academic credentials to the nearest JAMB Office.
Schools usually call for an entrance examination except a few like University of Ibadan etc that release the admission list on their site without having organized an examination. It is advisable to keep an open ear at all times. Candidates who meet the standard of the school will be offered admission.

For those wonder if their lower credit qualification can be accepted into Direct Entry in all schools, the answer is no but luckily there are some schools which accept it. Some of them are listed below:

  1. University of Benin, UNIBEN
  2. University of ilorin, UNILORIN
  3. Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto.
  4. Federal University of Technology, Minna, FUTMINNA.

Private Universities

Most private universities do not neccesarily need JAMB as a requirement at the initial stage in gaining admission into Nigerian private universities, like Madonna University, Lead City, Babcock University and others probably not on this list, but be sure to get your JAMB result ready before your final year screening.
For further inquiries, see the website of the school in question you wish to apply to. Good luck!
PS: please endeavor to find out the requirements from your University of choice so as not to waste your time, effort and money.
Thanks you!

JAMB Reveals Reasons Why The 2017 UTME Results Of Some Candidates Won’t Be Released (SEE HERE)

JAMB REVEALS REASONS WHY THE UTME RESULTS OF SOME CANDIDATES WON’T BE RELEASE (SEE HERE)

Examination body, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Thursday states that the results of candidates identified in footages of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) to have indulged in unwholesome practices during the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) won’t be released.
Registar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, who spoke on Channels Television Sunrise Daily said the agency had been busy in the past days reviewing recorded footages of the examination across the country, and that a number of candidates had been marked out for sanction.

Oloyede, was responding to a question by one of the anchors of the programme on why some candidates were yet to receive their results despite promises by JAMB to release outcomes within 24 hours.
The registrar said, “Those who have not received (their results) are qualified not to receive for now. In all cases where there were no problems, we released results of the examination within 24 hours.
“But those who have not (received their results), they may not be culpable but we are investigating. Where we have reason to doubt anything or where we have report of anything that is not acceptable to us, we have withheld the results.

The JAMB registrar appealed to credible organisations and individuals to come forward to partner JAMB in the establishment of reputable CBT centres across the country.
“Crooks are now establishing CBT centres, and meeting our requirements only to misuse the opportunities,” he said.
